Random Thoughts Again

I think my RL bag is beginning to tone the muscles in my arms. It's super heavy but I feel so kikay. It looks small but it's really one of those bags that's roomy and definitely sturdy. It can fit all of my junk. It's gonna be a long time before I change bags. I do hope I don't look matronics.

Half of my week had been chaotic. A sleep-deprived night. A confused day. Too bad I can't write it down here or write anything down on paper let alone here on the internet. It's just that normally I wouldn't be too emo about this. Hrrmm... not the emo you get to see at the malls. Heavy eyeliners, dark clothes, messy hair... everything that exudes "mamatay na kayong lahat! Aaahhhh!" Not that emo. I'm usually just keber (I don't care attitude) about stuff that goes on around me but now, I think about what the other person feels and if I've hurt that person. I guess Zoie gave me that kind of sensitivity.

I finally have time to go out with friends now that my daughter's 3 years old and she can take care of herself already.

My birthday's near and I'm not wishing for anything but the end of world hunger and peace to all mankind. Bull!

I'm waiting for self-realization before a whole number is added to my big 3-0. Should I be aiming for self-actualization? Gosh, I need a shrink!

Why did I ever put a ticker in my blog? It's ticking me off! It tells me how many more days before I get a year older. I have to check for wrinkles in the mirror.

Have you received an indecent proposal lately? Did you accept it?

I want another child but then again, wag muna.

I am so re-thinking my future. I'll be taking up grad studies next year and hubby's concern (dinaan sa joke) that I might meet someone there. Uuuyyy... Grad studies through distance education nga lang so no chance at all. Bahaha! To learn... As if there aren't enough thoughts in my head. Wait, there aren't enough decent thoughts.

I want a laptop and a new bag for my laptop this Christmas.

I'm so missing my producer friend. She just finished a project so she's at home resting.

Are you curious about the human anatomy? Or do you think like a prude?

Why is the Twilight series so boring sometimes and yet I can't help but read all of them? A hot vampire dating an ordinary chick who has a werewolf bestfriend.

I love the Sarah Jessica Parker Liquid Satin perfume. No alcohol! It's okay I'll get it from a cocktail drink na lang.

I'm stressed out because I have a lot of free time.

I really do need to see a shrink, don't I?

Inside My Bag

Bag organizers just doesn't work for me. I have one but I end up throwing everything that could fit into my bag. I often change bags - every week... sometimes every other day, depends on my mood really. Anyway, I was quite surprised by how much junk my bag can hold or rather, how much junk I've been putting inside my bag every single day. Here's a list and I'm not sure if it's complete.

1. 2 cellphones inside a two-zipped wallet given by my friend, Jaimy. Why I have two cellphones and one of them is a dual sim but holds only one sim is still a mystery to hubby.
2. a hairbrush and a comb - which serves one purpose - to comb my super straight hair.
3. a scrunchy... with beads.
4. last month's payslip. Why I carry this around I don't know.
5. 7 pens - 2 are blue (pucca and backyardigans), 1 given by Maynilad, a techpen, 1 from Swiss Embassy and 2 pilot ballpens
6. a black Kenneth Cole wallet as big as a small bag. Thank God I left my XOXO wallet at home. I used to carry both wallets.
7. a coin purse.
8. 2 tea bags.
9. a sandwich and some chips inside a ziplock plastic.
10. an ipod video.
11. all wires and chargers for cellphones, card reader and ipod in an Elle pouch bag.
12. a memory stick for the camera because I was transferring files.
13. a 2GB flash disk.
14. a card reader.
15. a flower paper clip.
16. paper soaps.
17. facial tissue.
18. oil control film.
19. a roll on CK perfume. I used to carry a whole bottle but it might break so I settled for this.
20. a Shiseido face powder.
21. 2 rosaries and I never pray.
22. an old billing statement.
23. my calling card case.

whew, tama na... there are still a lot of things inside my bag today. I left a lot of things at home too. And you know what, i even used to carry a Coke Light inside my bag. Am I a freak?

Ralph Lauren Bagelya

Finally! My sister in law's box arrived from Canada. I've been waiting for this bag and it's now here. My hubby says it's a tiis-ganda bag because it doesn't have anything inside yet and it's already heavy. Who cares?

Thanks, Beng!

Tober's Birthday Gimmick

My friends and I met at SM North The Block last Sunday for Tober's birthday gimmick. The plan was to buy pizza and take it to the lagoon for a pizza picnic. We got the 18" New York's Finest from Yellow Cab and was contemplating on the giant calzone. I was opposed to that because the pizza was quite large and there were only 4 us. My hubby was game to playing the role of our driver. Honestly, I have phobia in riding taxi cabs and I think it's quite a hassle to commute to UP. We waited for Dondon to arrive while hubby did a quick gym visit. Dondon had it in his mind that we were meeting at Trinoma so it was a good thing Tober called him. We couldn't forget that time when we lost him at Glorietta because the only way to contact him then was through email. He scoured the place and he actually saw us at the entrance going to Landmark.

First stop - the UP Lagoon. We parked at Faculty Center to go to the Lagoon. We took our chance. The sign said, Faculty and Staff parking only. Dondon was faculty. UP Manila nga lang. Hehehe.

I have "fond" memories of the Lagoon and I share it specially with hubby. Other people are proud that they've conceived their first born there. Hehehe! Ooohh, the mysteries of the Lagoon. Today, the place is much cleaner. Lamps were already installed to provide light at night. Malas ninyo! The darker the Lagoon the better, did you know that? We ate our pizza there. We saw two couples having their pre-nup pictorial at the Lagoon and I took a shot of Dondon and Tober pretending to be a couple having a pictorial only Tobs was the groom. The ants were a nuisance though. When we arrived at the stone table (naks, parang Narnia) wala namang langgam. Bigla na lang they were everythere... different colors and different sizes. I got bitten twice!

Can you read the words on the tree? That describes what's been happening in the darkness of the Lagoon.

Second stop - Mang Larry's Isawan. We drove to Mang Larry's isawan for our isaw fix. I noticed that Mang Larry doesn't visit his isawan anymore. At least, not when I'm there. I had an isaw buying frenzy again. I just ordered without realizing how much I've ordered.

Third stop - the Oval Track or whatever it's called. I just call it - "dun sa track". I have a few nice memories of the oval track. The grass were overgrown and thick. I shot a short film there when I was in college. It was about a student who bought pamparegla in Quiapo because of an unwanted pregnancy. I made my roommate and talent lie down on the grass to act like she's dying. You know, the track has its mysteries too. But I haven't tried anything there yet. Hehehe. Anyway, the sun was still shining when we chose a log there to sit on. It was warm. There were athletes at the track. A dog was chasing his master who was riding a motorcycle. I made a comment that finally UP has decided to use a lawnmower there. We talked about things not really catching up... just talking until we've noticed fireflies were already flickering near the grassy area that was not so far away from us. It was already dark and it was great seeing the fireflies when you know you're in an urban area.

I'm not going to post pics of the track. Challenge of the bilbils ang picture. Hahaha! My hubby kept on transferring the car. So much for burning a few calories. It was nice to be back in UP with college friends.

Happy Birthday, Tober!

Heartless

Wala kang puso. A friend once told me that. At that time, I laughed and brushed the remark off. He doesn't really know me that well to judge me like that. How dare he. Today, I want to call him up and say, "you are so damn right."

I had hubby drop me off at Herrera Street corner Ayala to meet a friend and deliver to her the pack of diapers that she ordered. The meeting was quick. I guess she was running late. I crossed the street and an old woman called my attention. I don't like strangers calling me and asking me to stop and listen to them when I'm in a hurry although I wasn't late for anything but this time I stopped. It was early in the morning so the street wasn't crowded yet. She was standing in front of an abandoned business space. She looked kind and tired but I'm so sorry I could only maintain about 3 feet away from her because of her smell. She called me "anak" and asked me what street we were in and generally discussed our topographic location. I wasn't really listening. I was distracted. I've read about a holdup incident recently so I was looking around expecting men to appear at my sides and whispering, "wag kang kikilos" and I pictured myself giving them my bag and the old lady saying "pasensiya na anak". There were no men in sight but it was too early to tell and not many people are passing by. Then I heard the old lady say that she was left there by some woman and that she's been there for 11 days and that her home was in Nueva Ecija and to go to some place it'll cost 130 pesos. And then she started crying... crying without tears. To be honest, I may launch into bursts of dramatics and hysterics but like a guy (and I'm not a guy), I get uncomfortable when somebody's crying. For some reason, I was not buying her story. There was something phony about it. Or... I was just being skeptic. Thanks to that same friend who told me I was heartless, he also said I was a skeptic. Why he called me those in the past I'm not going to discuss... ever. But who can blame me? I've met a lot of old women asking for pamasahe and I even encountered one of them in two different locations using the same act. Let's also not forget the fact that my father in law was a policeman so I am aware of the sindikato stories. Then I interrupted her. I opened my bag quickly and gave her some money hoping that it will take her somewhere nearer her destination. I could not figure out why she never left the area if she was left there for 11 days. Then I left... guilt-ridden and afraid to look over my shoulder. What if this time her story was true? There was no police in the area but I doubt that these policemen will help her. On the bus on my way to the office, I noticed that I was wearing red and I was listening to Meredith Brooks' Bitch. How appropriate. I am so guilty because I remembered my lola who passed away when I was in college. What if she were my grandmother and I was looking for her in Nueva Ecija for 11 days and some heartless lady in red just walked away and wouldn't help her? I'm so gonna burn in hell.

petiks

i've had some petiks time after my GHD project and what did i do with my time? - blog! this explains the widgets, the ticker and the new template! i'm using valuable office time and resources. bwahahaha (evil laughter) i should be finishing all my liquidations. i am so swamped with project expenses that needed to be liquidated. imagine, i still have expenses that go way back in 2006. it's a wonder i still have this job. maybe when i finish this, they will fire me. (snicker!) i had no idea i've had so many projects. but what am i doing? still blogging... and downloading tv series... and drinking mugs of coffee... and rolling my eyes at my officemates... and missing my baby... and missing my friends... and looking shocked when i found out an officemate is having his chuva waxed which is utterly disgusting... and eating boy bawang... and texting... and cursing when the internet connection is slow... and planning to pursue graduate studies... and pretending to be busy... everything but liquidating.

The Template Again

i'm getting obsessed. i went down to the recording studio and made our audio tech open my blog on his computer and forced him (nicely) to try to edit out those links. i made him read the yada yada html but guess what? hallelujah! the links actually work! it cannot be opened here in my computer. thus, the "useless" drama. so i rest my case. i am okay with those links. hehehe.

i saw that one of our artists is wearing purple and i, lavander. so we had our picture taken. no, no, i won't post it here. his wife might kill me. intriga!

Red Hot New Template

so do you like it? do you like it? do you like it? (kulit... kulit...) i LOOOVVVEEE it except for the links on top which i have no idea how to edit or even remove. do you see them? HOME? COMMENTS(RSS)? ENTRIES(RSS)? EDIT? please, please ignore them. you can probably scroll down a bit so you won't see them. i swear, they are so useless... to me, at least. i mean for a blogger like me who is so ignorant on how to edit the look of her blog... i envy those who can actually understand the language. it's all yada, yada to me. okay, so i can patch your tv to your dvd or to any player. i can digitize footage into the computer. i can do slave (producer) stuff. but to edit my blog?!! help me! i am so useless... so utterly useless. even hubby wouldn't help me (sniff!). imagine, it took me more than a month (a month is an eternity!) to figure out how to add widgets and tickers and stuff. so disgustingly useless. i love this new template (thanks btemplates for this) because i like the color and it has a big picture of a favorite - the siling labuyo. people say that if you like the siling labuyo then you must be a very h***y person. happy? na-ah. hmmm. i won't comment on that. harharhar (evil snicker). tell me if you like food that burns your mouth then maybe i can divulge to you what h***y means? deal?

History of the World

i am officially adding History of the World Part 1 to my list of favorite films. it is so effing hilarious. anytime of the day i watch it, i end up laughing. the film was produced in 1981. it was an old movie the first time i've watched it when i was a kid but today, it is a classic. the story covered the dawn of man, the old testament, the roman empire, the spanish inquisition and the french revolution. there is a part II but i cannot remember if i've seen it. i think this film really left a mark on me because when i saw that my officemate has an avi file of the film, i went hey, that's a really funny movie and when was the last time i've watched it? - probably when i was in elementary. that's a plus - what with my memory? mine is extremely selective especially after giving birth to Zoie. hehehe. i didn't even watch this film when i was studying Film. oooh, film major - the time when i had to watch every film with a critical eye. i watched movies twice, first to enjoy then to criticize. and now, i've become very selective in the film genre (mostly comedy and love story - go figure!) that i watch and i am almost always reading ebooks and watching tv series episodes. tsk. tsk. thank you, bitlord. thank you, torrentman.

Anonymous

This is a poem from an anonymous poet.
Anonymous, who are you? i love people who sign their poems as anonymous.
hide it! hide it!

forbidden

can't talk to my friends
can't even blog it
writing will put me at risk
can this poem hide it?
the emotions surging beneath a stoic face
how can it be so obvious?
are you just guessing?
how did you know?

flower power

i'm really not into nature but it does captivate me. i don't have a green thumb. a cactus died on me. i haven't figured out why i took this photo though. cheesy!

Grocery Shopaholic

don't you just love grocery shopping? whenever i'm inside the grocery store, a big one at that, i feel a sense of joy. as i walk at the aisle... in between shelves and shelves of stuff while pushing the biggest of the carts, it feels like i'm walking in a meadow with dewy grass and butterflies. i pick out things like i pick out flowers. honestly? i don't really like walking in a meadow of grass with butterflies and God forbid, bees flying all around me. it's just a simile, okay? i'm just describing how i feel whenever i'm inside the grocery. someone at peace. hehehe. i've been this way towards grocery shopping even before i got married. i can spend hours inside the supermarket until my cart is brimming with goodies. oohhh... the colors all around... the smell... my hubby should be hooked to an ipod so he can just wait for me. the sense of accomplishment is immeasurable as hubby loads all the plastic bags into the car. i'd rather do grocery shopping than go clothes shopping. i go inside the supermarket with only one thing in mind that i need to buy and i emerge with at least 3 plastic bags of stuff i suddenly needed.

baliw na ba ako? i think... addict!

Aglio e Olio

Yesterday, i made Aglio e Olio. It means garlic and olive oil... literally. But I made mine with bacon. I saw this being cooked on TV and it was so simple so I decided to try it out. I made a small amount of the pasta for taste test. We have left over spaghetti... only it was not al dente anymore... but hubby seemed to like it. He just thought I put a lot of olive oil on the pasta. The next batch, I made about more than a half kilo of pasta... the spaghetti was al dente and the amount of olive oil just right. We ate the pasta for lunch and dinner. Zoie didn't like it. The subtle flavor of the olive oil and the fact that the pasta had no color at all put this look on her face... grimace? I couldn't quite place it. Oh well, she made the same face when I made her eat pesto and she said the pasta was dirty. Too bad I couldn't find chili flakes at the supermarket. I didn't put the chili powder that I bought. It smelled like someone from a foreign country. It would've ruined the dish. Hubby said he liked it but I was skeptical. But the fact that there were no leftovers kind of sufficed for it. I mean, my feeling that I cooked something that's not really delicious.

Sidebar: Can anyone be more addicted to olives? I like olives. I have extra virgin olive oil at home. My shampoo has olives in it. I like them in my martini... in caldereta... haay.

Dinner with Friends

Last Sunday, I had dinner with my friends. Ii came home from Singapore so it was time again for that get together. Riva, Sam, Adrian and I met up at SM MOA and waited for Clair and Irene who were finishing up their beauty treatments at the spa. II asked us to decide on where to have dinner. So, the 4 of us asked each other - alin yung place where under normal circumstances you wouldn't choose? We huddled over the mall directory and listed a number of places. First in the choices was Prince of Jaipur. We don't normally choose Indian food and we've passed by their branch at The Fort. Off we went to the restaurant.

The Prince of Jaipur environment did not look very friendly to me. With its high ceiling with pinlights that kind of reminds me of the Arabian Nights and that ominous paintings that looked like portraits of dead kings and queens of India. There was also a large picture of the different chakras but it kind of reminded me of the picture of distorted and sick human body that warns us against smoking at MRT stations. The bar looked far away because the place was huge and anytime I expected an elephant to pass by. The main waiter was an Indian guy. Siyempre, to complete the picture, you get an Indian guy to wait on you. We asked him what's the most ordered food in the menu that was so foreign to us. Ang sagot - all. The price of the food was quite expensive and the fact that there was a band at the nearby restaurant playing some R&B music destroyed the Indian atmosphere for us. For lack of what to do, we ordered pita bread and a super spicy lamb curry. I was expecting something similar to the dishes of Banana Leaf but this was disappointing. The placemat that covered the pita bread looked dirty. The lamb curry tasted like calderetang kambing although I have to say it was delish. Sabi pa ni Sam wala daw water sa CR. Grabe expensive ang restaurant walang water. Irene and Clair arrived. II wanted us to order but we didn't want to. We found this coupon from the restaurant beside Prince of Jaipur and one by one we went out of Prince of Jaipur. Di namin type Indian food. Natapunan pa sa shirt si Riva ng sauce. So lipat kami sa Gumbo where we had a great time and for a cheaper price, we feasted on a lot of food. We donned the silly hats and were the last customers to leave the restaurant.
that tender baby back ribs with sidings of fries and corn kernels.
spaghetti puttanesca with capers... panalo! those are not green peas ha!
happy! happy!
hay naku, ang mga blogger talaga. yan din reklamo sakin ni hubby.

Global Handwashing Day

In my years of experience as a producer, (no, i'm not going to say how many), I've done a lot of projects but only few really had an impact on me. I actually forget that I've been part of a big event as I worked from project to project over the years. The first ever Global Handwashing Day which was held yesterday at the West Rembo Sports Complex was one of those projects that made a mark for me. I won't describe the process of organizing this event because it's just work. It's part of my job. Whatever the hardships I went through... whatever the stress... it doesn't matter. What's important is that the event went well and it was successful.

I learned a lot during GHD production. I learned how to use the digital SLR camera. It's been ages since I last used my film SLR camera and now everything's digital. I learned to direct people during the shoot. I do this in some projects if there's no director but this time I got to ask people to dance and they're not professional talents. The shoots - I enjoyed so much. Two to four companies or groups from both private and public sectors a day was really exhausting but so much fun. I also got to be voice talent. I was one of the germ monsters that cause diseases in the program.

GHD editing went smoothly because my team was working on the videos while I was out shooting. The research for pictures was a bit heartbreaking for me because I got to see a lot of suffering kids. What can I do? I need them for the visuals. I also learned that there were a lot of kids who die of diarrhea, pneumonia, bulate and flu every single year. Knock on wood.

I've never been an advocate of handwashing. Putting my hands under running water was enough or a dab of hand sanitizer would often suffice or even a few splashes of rubbing alcohol. But my child was taught how to wash hands at school and I would often marvel as she counts from 1 to 20 while soaping her hands and she wasn't even 3 years old then. She even tells us Tatay, Mama, wash hands!

This GHD project though opened my eyes to the importance of washing one's hands with soap and clean water. I became aware of the 5 steps in washing one's hands.

1. wet your hands with clean and running water
2. lather and make lots of bubbles using a soap with long-lasting skin germ protection. (Okay. Use Safeguard. this is my blog so i can advertise.)
3. scrub the front and back of your hands
4. clean around and between every finger and under every fingernail
5. rinse and dry hands thoroughly. use clean towel.

Washing of hands should take about 20 seconds or the length of 2 happy birthday songs. No, no, no, not the "sayo ang inuman... sayo ang pulutan" version, just the traditional happy birthday song.

The fact that this project was UNICEF's with Safeguard as sponsor and me being a mom as well made this project meaningful for me. Three hundred Grade 1 kids from Fort Bonifacio Elementary School were invited to the event. Tonipet of Art Angel was a great host and captured the attention of everyone who was there. All the kids were eager to wash their hands at the mobile sinks in the venue. We had giant Disease monsters fabricated and as Senator Gordon, Sec Lapus, DOH NCR Regional Director Anden, Mr. Davis of UNICEF and Mr. Anand of P&G directed their highpowered water jets at the monsters, the mural that featured all the hands with signature of all sectors who support the cause was revealed as the monsters dissolved from the strength of the water from the hoses.

It was a great project for me. These are projects that make me proud to be a producer, a producer who now washes her hands as often as possible with soap and clean water. Lol!

are you a producer?

are you a slave to yourself and to others?
are you a workaholic?
are you still awake at 3 am preparing scripts, program flow, checklists... everything you need for the event?
did you reach the minimum of 3 mugs of coffee today?
are you still eating even if it's 2 am?
do you go out with lots of boys just to buy snacks at a nearby 24 hour grocery but none of them are romantically linked to you?
do you say i love you often to these boys and they do the same to you while you're in the middle of digitizing a raw footage?
did you just piss off your boss?
if you're married, do you wake up your husband so he can drive you home?
do you often bullshit your client?

wait... all your answers are YES? are you a producer?

Blasted Fortuner

my heart is still beating so fast that i can't start working.

we were approaching McKinley Road when this blasted Fortuner (light brownish silver color; i guess taupe is the better term) which looks new because it doesn't even have a plate almost slammed into a taxi and our Innova slammed into that taxi. The Fortuner's driver seemed to have changed his mind and wanted to go left but didn't he see the taxi there? apparently not! huhu! our car has been devirginized and now has scratches. I also don't understand why hubby said that we slammed from behind so it was our fault. oh, and did i mention that the Fortuner had the gall to speed away because he never bumped into any of us but he was the cause of all the trouble. so unfair! the taxi driver and hubby just looked at the damage and let go. i hope every driver is like that and not some gago who flares up even when it's his fault. that happened to us when we still had Kumag the Civic. we were on the main road and this manong was going so fast that he slammed into us and he was shouting. hubby was very cool but he ended up escorting me into the car because i shouted at the manong for treating hubby that way. i believe in karma.

this experience made me change my mind. i don't think i want to learn how to drive anymore.

VIENNA CHICKEN (THE BEST ASS IN TOWN) HOUSE

And i thought Kantunan was hilarious... hubby is now telling me that there was a restaurant near UST called Kanto Tinio. Hahaha!

Okay time for more serious tomador stuff...

All these shoots and bonding with the crew have been a really fruitful experience for me. I, who like to eat and drink at places that are famous to tomadors like me. Since I was exhausted and we have another early call time the following day, instead of drinking Red Horse with the crew, I opted for some fried rice and pulutan for dinner. The place was really an inuman so the light grip bought rice from the nearby Tapsilogan.

At the corner of Felix Huertas and Remigio Streets, you will find Vienna Chicken House that serves the best tokwa't baboy, tokwa't dila and the crispiest chicken ass or isol. Yum yum. Did I mention that my favorite chicken part is the chicken's ass? Some may throw them away but it simply is the tastiest part of the chicken.

The place opens at 4pm and closes at about 3am. Oh no they won't close as long as you're there. We were a little bit early. at 6pm, we were an early bird tomador crowd. There were a few people in the restaurant but the establishments beside it were already closed. The tables, I was told, are set up on the street but because it was a bit early, we sat ourselves at a table in front of a closed store. The tokwa't dila was specially tasty. The tokwa't baboy was different because the meat was deep-fried and crunchy. But who can forget the half a kilo of isol that I wolfed down?

Too bad I was afraid I might not wake up for the early call time the next day. I had to restrain myself from getting that hang over but I did enjoy the food.

TARA, LET'S EAT HERE!

Whew! The things I see on the way to shoots... I sure would like to EAT there!

FOR LOVERS ONLY...

Bulaluhan sa España

Melts in your mouth... not in your hands... Mmmm.... that sour Sinigang taste of the bulalo at Bulaluhan sa España. Where? Obvious ba? Sa España! LOL! What a dizzying experience! If you know what I mean... The place is near Welcome Rotonda.

Last night I had bulalo at Aling Paz Bulaluhan near Edison. The meat was that of a 90 year old cow and the soup... tasty. But who can pass up a lunch at Bulaluhan sa España the next day? You have a choice really on whether you want it in the traditional Nilaga or the Sinigang. The meat are almost falling off the bones and I've never tasted litid this soft. A total heart attack and I mean it in a good way. We ordered Chicharon Bulaklak on the side. We are really tempting fate. Do not overeat there if you have highblood pressure, I tell you.

When we got there, I saw a big fish tank full of hito and there were two live fish on the ground. I called the waiter. Uy, chuva, yung isda tumalon. Hindi, nilagay talaga namin yan diyan, Mam. Ihawin mamaya. Such cruelty! But I quickly forgot about it when the soup came.

I won't describe it any further. Experience it.

Sorry, I didn't get to shoot a facade of the place. I was so hungry. You won't miss it, though. Coming from Welcome Rotonda, it's on the left side of the road. And yes, they have enough parking space. No aircon. This is a typical carinderia. I was lucky enough to have a crew who knows places like these. I get to eat at these places during shoots. But next time, I will bring hubby here. Evangelista Bulalo doesn't even come close in terms of taste. Don't forget to ask for more soup from the manong who's holding the TABO. hahaha!

Kanta ng Kabit

Thanks to my husband or else I never would have realized that this song popularized by Whitney Houston is a querida's song. We were listening to a Pinoy idol singing at Blue Wave last Tuesday night and sharing a banana split when he said, "yung song tungkol pala sa pakiki-apid".

So, para sa mga kabit out there, this song's for you.

Saving All My Love For You

A few stolen moments is all that we share
You've got your family, and they need you there
Though I've tried to resist, being last on your list
But no other man's gonna do
So I'm saving all my love for you

It's not very easy, living all alone
My friends try and tell me, find a man of my own
But each time I try, I just break down and cry
Cause I'd rather be home feeling blue
So I'm saving all my love for you

You used to tell me we'd run away together
Love gives you the right to be free
You said be patient, just wait a little longer
But that's just an old fantasy
I've got to get ready, just a few minutes more
Gonna get that old feeling when you walk through that door
For tonight is the night, for feeling alright
We'll be making love the whole night through
So I'm saving all my love
Yes I'm saving all my love
Yes I'm saving all my love for you

No other woman, is gonna love you more
Cause tonight is the night, that I'm feeling alright
We'll be making love the whole night through
So I'm saving all my love
Yeah I'm saving all my love
Yes I'm saving all my love for you
For you, for you
